•Certificates :

➢Certificate of Competency Electro Technical Officer (AIII/6)

➢Basic Safety Training (STCW Code VI/1)

➢Passenger Ship Safety (STCW Code V/2)

➢Advanced Fire Fighting

➢Medical First Aid (STCW Code VI/4) – mandatory as of 01/01/2017

➢Security Awareness (STCW Code VI/6-1)

➢Proficiency in Survival craft and Rescue boats other than Fast Rescue Boats (VI/2-1)

Job description:

In charge of electrical and electronic devices especially considering the vessel’s safety, environment protection at sea, cost management and the quality of services.

• Practicing GCCL values

• Supervision of the engine plant in service

• Support of work in Engine Department

• In charge of electrical devices

• Responsible for cargo cranes, emergency batteries, refrigeration

• Guidance of the engine crew

• Watchkeeping during manoeuvrings

• Checking, recording and maintenance for electrical and electronic equipment of all ships departments

• Inventory of spare parts in electrical store

• Tasks according to muster list

• Safe working practice

• Preparation of dry dock lists

• Cooperation with Hospitality Department and be ready to assist in carrying luggage

• Participate on scheduled provisions loading as well as in waste disposal when necessary

• Any additional duty advised by Ch Engineer

All assigned tasks are to be performed in accordance with Company standards, ISM standards, Safety and Environmental policies.

•Monthly basic salary transferred to a bank account of choice;

•Tip equally shared through all crew members

•Rotation: 14 weeks on board 14 weeks at home; paid only while on board;

•Insurance: coverage by private Allianz insurance

•Contract is on yearly basis; paid pro rata for the time spent on board;

•Travel policy: travel is arranged by Company from nearest airport to your home city till port of embarkation;

•Single accommodation and food included free of charge;

•Internet on board

•Refund for obtaining pre-joining GCCL Medical report as well as test on Alcohol & Drugs;

•Refund for visa application if applicable;

•Please note that all contracts issued are Cayman seafarer contracts;

Candidates are expected to work on board an international cruise ship.
