Job Title: ABC - System Analyst 3 (IVS Only) Location: Mechanicsville, VA (Hybrid) Interview Mode: In Person Only Employment Type: Temporary Seniority Level: Mid‑Senior Level Job Summary ABC is recruiting a seasoned System Administrator to support a POS software rollout across 400 stores in Virginia. The role requires a blend of on‑site training, overnight remote work, and subsequent installation of a standard 9 am‑5 pm on‑site schedule. Key Responsibilities Systems Administration, Monitoring, and Maintenance (50%) Perform daily system checks, backups, OS updates, and configuration changes. Install and configure new hardware and software. Document system configurations and maintain security/compliance standards. Manage user accounts, passwords, and other authentication tasks. Troubleshoot technical queries and system issues. Use PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks and improve efficiency. Retail Operations Support (20%) Resolve communications issues on POS registers, licensee workstations, and servers. Assist users with software issues using administrative tools. Implement security procedures to ensure rigorous protection. Coordinate with third‑party vendors to replace failed hardware. Follow client service processes, document resolutions, and perform follow‑up communications. Configure OS and POS settings for registers, workstations, and servers. Application Support (30%) Administer the retail environment software (GKOmniPOS). Maintain the wireless infrastructure supporting the retail environment. Manage Active Directory Domain and Certificate Services (Windows Server 2019). Collaborate with vendors on new application builds. Identify environmental risks and work with vendors and business lines to mitigate them. Project Details POS Software rollout to 400 stores (1,000+ registers) across Virginia. Temporary overnight remote shifts (2 am‑10 am) following initial on‑site training. Parking provided at no cost to contractors. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience with PowerShell scripting (Required). 5+ years of experience with Windows 10 administration, configuration, and patching (Required). 5+ years of experience with networking (Required). 3+ years of experience with SaaS background (Highly Desired). 6+ months of experience with POS (Point of Service) systems (Nice to have).
