Job Description
Looking for a carpenter apprentice or general laborer to add to our team. The perfect fit would be someone just starting out who has some carpentry or construction experience, likes to work with their hands and can learn quickly. No experience is necessary but a good attitude and strong work ethic is important. We do all phases of residential construction and a lot of high-end work so candidate has to be able to work neatly and cleanly & be professional at all times. Typical duties include working with and assisting our carpenters with all phases of residential construction such as trim/molding work, sheetrock, demo, framing, window & door installations, kitchen & bathroom renovations and painting so there is ample opportunity to learn and grow, along with some unskilled work like demo, carrying out debris and cleaning jobsites Pay will vary upon experience and the value you can bring to our team but will range between $22 - $35 per hour. Our typical work area is in Smithtown, St. James, Stony Brook, Setauket & Port Jefferson, however we work everywhere in Suffolk county and occasionally go into Nassau county. Must have a valid driver's license, your own transportation, and be able to legally work in the United States. Special consideration to someone with their own tools and a pickup truck.
