JOB OVERVIEW:

We are currently searching for a company, Corporate Director of Human Resources, for Sun Hill Properties Inc. The Corporate Director of Human Resources will support new initiatives through leadership, guidance and support in line with the company wide objectives. We are currently in a growth phase. The company is growing by adding rooms to their existing hotels. We need a strategic, hands-on HR leader who can help guide them into the next phase as an organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Functional responsibilities will include organizational development, automation of HR processing and tracking systems, enhancement of positive team member relations that include fairly balanced recognition & appreciation initiatives, mentoring, and overall regulatory compliance.

Overall, Areas of Responsibility:

  • Manage Human Resources Team Members
  • Oversee all four Hotels
  • Extensive knowledge of Federal and Multi State Labor Laws.
  • Employee Relations
  • Risk Management
  • Wage & Benefit Administration
  • Recruiting, Training & Organizational Development
  • Compliance with Statuary Requirements
  • Budgeting for HR related functions
  • Other tasks assigned by VP of Administration

Qualifications and Requirements:

The ideal candidate should be a seasoned HR professional able to redefine a hotel culture that ensures evident display of service excellence, effective communication at all levels, total team member engagement and enables entire work force to reach their maximum potential.

  • 7+ years in comparable position in a Resort/Hotel Hospitality environment
  • Preferred Regional experience over multiple hotels
  • PHR or equivalent certification preferred with bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education
  • Hands-on, strategic corporate partner who is values-driven with flexibility and agility
  • Experienced in effective implementation of automated HR & Payroll systems and processes
  • Unquestionable outstanding command of various federal, state and local employment practices, laws & regulations
  • Self-initiation with innovative proven leadership skills, impeccable work ethic, and the highest degree of integrity
  • Up-to-date computer competency
  • Effective oral, written analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Travel flexibility
  • Excellent personal management is attributed to efficient time management application, meeting deadlines, and the inter-personal communication skills that promote team building, open dialogue and overall trust
  • Bilingual in Spanish Preferred
