Responsibilities: Analyze large datasets of purchase transactions to identify overpaid sales tax. Reconcile tax amounts using tax rates, exemptions, and jurisdictional rules. Work closely with tax consultants to prepare refund claims and supporting documentation. Utilize SQL, Excel, and other data analysis tools to extract and manipulate data. Identify trends and patterns in sales tax overpayments. Assist in automating processes to improve data extraction and analysis efficiency. Communicate findings and recommendations to internal teams and clients. Qualifications: Availability: This is an in-office, onsite 5x per week position. Bachelors degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in data analysis, tax compliance, or financial analytics. Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and data visualization tools (Tableau). Experience with SQL, Python, or other data query languages is a plus. Knowledge of sales tax regulations and exemptions is preferred but not required. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
