Job Title: Dental Technician
Job Summary: Assist dental students in appropriate phases of their clinical and pre-clinical education. Contributes to dental student education alongside faculty, participating in pre-clinical and clinical courses.
Education & Experience Education and Experience Required: Graduate of an Accredited American Dental Association (ADA) Dental Technology program and one (1) year of related experience or High School diploma/GED and three (3) years of related experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Serve as a novice technology expert in order to assist faculty and students
Responsibilities - Fabricate crown and bridge work
- Fabricate occlusal splints
- Fabricate dentures from impression to insert
- Complete prosthetic repairs, relines, and re-bases
- Assist students with set up of teeth, wax rims, final molds and fabrications in the lab. Provides these services as a lab technician.
- Show students how to engage implant abutments and fabricate surgical guide.
- Assist with dentures set ups and polishing.
- Collaborate with other technician educators to troubleshoot problems.
- Inspect equipment and request repairs or upgrades when necessary.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of laboratory exercises to be performed by dental students, residents and faculty.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care
