Were looking for a Director of Engineering, Security to lead our Security Engineering and Security Enablement teams. Our Security Engineering team comprises software engineers building and operating the foundational security infrastructure and controls underlying all our products and services. Our Security Enablement team comprises security engineers who are experts in our business, acting as trusted security partners to our engineering, product, and design teams to solve security problems across business verticals.
We are looking for an exceptional technical software engineering and security leader to evolve our systems and infrastructure such that security is always on by default and provided as a service in our production environments, abstracting security away from our DoorDash engineers, so that they can single mindedly focus on growing our business and delighting our customers.
This role will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area or Seattle, and report to our Chief Information Security Officer and be part of the security leadership team at DoorDash.
Deliver vision and strategy for a builder-first security organization, delivering security solutions at scale and owning the outcomes.
You have an advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, or a related discipline. You have 15+ years experience in an engineering management role spanning software engineering and security engineering.

Compensation
The successful candidates starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employees work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.
In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.
