Risk Manager — Job Description
Aligned Solutions is seeking a Director of Risk Management for a well respected company.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement an overall risk management process, including analysis of the financial impact of potential risks.
Select the most effective and appropriate insurance brokerages for the organization.
Analyze and assess insurance policies to ensure adequate coverage for the company’s needs.
Negotiate with brokers and insurance carriers to secure optimal insurance rates and terms.
Oversee claims and settlement processes; assess alternative sources of insurance coverage.
Foster a culture of risk awareness and enforce policies and procedures to minimize exposure.
Develop and coordinate loss control strategies and initiatives.
Maintain accurate records of all insurance policies and claims.
Prepare and manage risk management and insurance budgets.
Deliver comprehensive risk assessment reports to leadership and stakeholders.
Create clear, actionable reports to help departments understand how risks affect their operations.
Administer captive insurance programs, including workers' compensation, general liability, and auto claims.
Review company contracts to identify and address potential risk issues as needed.
Required Qualifications:
8–10 years of experience in Risk Management, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
Background in both brokerage and corporate risk management environments.
Proficiency in insurance and safety risk management practices.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office.
Experience with database use and management.
High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
Risk Manager certification (e.g., ARM, CRM).
Local candidates preferred, though relocation assistance may be considered for the right fit.
