About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Advancement to join its Executive Leadership Team. The successful candidate will be a mission-driven, strategic, and experienced leader, serving as the chief relationship builder and philanthropic leader. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of belonging, inclusion, and partnership, and will involve engaging students, alumnae, families, and donors to strengthen relationships and inspire generosity. The Executive Director will be responsible for leading the development and engagement team in all aspects of fundraising, including capital campaigns, annual giving, and major gifts. They will also oversee the marketing and communications team to ensure consistent and effective messaging that promotes the school's mission and programs, and the admissions team to align recruitment and enrollment with the school's strategic vision. Candidates for this position should have a BA or BS degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 7-10 years of leadership experience in advancement, admissions, enrollment management, or related fields, preferably within a Catholic or independent school setting. The role requires a proven track record in fundraising and/or enrollment growth, strong management skills, and the ability to build and lead high-functioning teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the philanthropic and educational landscape, particularly in the Silicon Valley, and be familiar with relational fundraising databases and digital marketing strategies. A CFRE certification is preferred, and the candidate should demonstrate a strong alignment with the mission and values of the school, as well as a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
