As the Team Lead - Graphic Design, you will manage a team of graphic designers, ensuring the creation of high-quality visual assets that align with our brand guidelines. This is a position that combines people management and design creation. You will be responsible for creative projects from concept to completion, as well as mentoring and coaching team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve design excellence. Ability to maximize the potential of the rest of the team is key to success in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and mentor a team of graphic designers.
• Execute advertising designs, campaigns and marketing projects
• Oversee the creation of visual content for various media, including print, digital and social media.
• Ensure all design work aligns with quality standards, brand guidelines and project requirements.
• Collaborate with sales team to ensure all needed elements are available.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, high quality and efficiency
• Provide feedback and creative direction to team members.
• Stay updated on industry trends, techniques and software improvements; incorporate best practices into design work.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts or related field.
• 5+ years of professional graphic design experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Professional mature portfolio showcasing a range of design styles and projects.
• Proven track record of managing and mentoring a design team.
• Excellent understanding of design principles, typography, color theory and layout.
• Experience with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.

This position is on-site in Sheldon, Iowa. Wages based on experience.
