Requirements:
#Job Purpose
* Responsible for maintaining and repairing rotary-wing aircraft (helicopters) to ensure their safety and airworthiness in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards.
#Education and Experience Requirements
* Must have a High School Diploma or GED
* Must have a minimum of 5 years of recent work experience
* Must have experience in aircraft inspection, maintenance, and repair work
* Must have a valid FAA A&P license
* Must have an Inspection Authorization (IA)
* Must have own tools
* Experience preferred on the following helicopters: Robinson, Bell, and MD
#Essential Functions
* Complete repair, modification, and replacement of aircraft and aircraft systems within both FAA and client requirements
* Strong understanding of helicopter mechanics, systems, structures, and powerplants
* Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
* Meticulous attention to detail for precise adjustments and repairs
* Complete required forms properly and accurately to both FAA and client standards
* Approve articles for return to service in accordance with repair station requirements
* Ability to work with precision tools and equipment
* Ability to identify and solve complex problems
* Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and pilots
* Read, understand, and use FAA-approved maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs, ADs, Service Bulletins, progressive inspection check lists, and other related maintenance documentation in order to effectively inspect/troubleshoot/repair airframe, engine, electrical, and hydraulic systems
* Complete work within budgeted time
