We are looking for a Key Account Manager - Orem, UT

We're looking for a customer-focused, results-driven Key Account Manager to take full commercial ownership of a strategic partnership in the fast-growing mobile security and surveillance sector.

Reporting to the Sales Director, you will bring a strong mix of strategic relationship management and technical insight. You will represent SFC Energy in a high-growth environment where your work directly impacts national security, infrastructure protection, and the deployment of green energy.

What We Expect?

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience: 5+ years in key account management, sales, or strategic partnerships—ideally in security technology, telecom infrastructure, or renewable/off-grid power solutions
  • Proven track record of managing complex, high-value accounts (OEM preferred) in a fast-paced, scaling environment
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Deep understanding of mobile surveillance technologies, infrastructure deployment, or alternative power systems is a strong asset
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license, as occasional travel is required
  • Knowledge of fuel cell technologies is an asset

Roles and Responsibilities:

Account Strategy and Ownership

  • Own the strategic commercial relationship with a high-growth technology company specializing in mobile surveillance platforms.
  • Develop and execute tailored account strategies aligned with both customer goals and SFC Energy’s business objectives.
  • Manage forecasting, budgeting, and account planning activities to drive profitable growth.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with senior decision-makers, influencers, and technical stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring exceptional customer experience throughout the lifecycle of the relationship.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and strategic planning sessions with customers to assess satisfaction, performance, and future opportunities.

Solution Development & Technical Understanding

  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to develop tailored solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Effectively communicate the value and technical capabilities of SFC’s fuel cell solutions, with a focus on mobile security, telecom, and critical infrastructure.
  • Understand and educate clients on the benefits of DMFC and hydrogen fuel cell technologies in off-grid deployments.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders across sales, service, operations, and product development to ensure alignment and flawless execution.
  • Advocate internally for customer needs and expectations.
  • Support product feedback loops, helping to inform roadmap priorities based on customer input and field experience.

Sales Growth & Performance

  • Drive revenue growth through upselling, renewals, and expansion within assigned accounts.
  • Support commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, and contract renewals to ensure mutual value and long-term partnerships.
  • Track account performance, identify risks and opportunities, and execute corrective actions where necessary.

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Monitor industry developments, customer trends, and competitive activity within target sectors (e.g., CCTV, telecom, traffic monitoring).
  • Provide actionable insights to inform sales strategies and product positioning.

Reporting & CRM Discipline

  • Maintain accurate CRM records of account activities and pipeline progress.
  • Deliver timely internal reports and participate in sales planning meetings.

Travel

  • Travel within the U.S. to customer sites, trade shows, and internal strategy meetings as required.
