About the Role

As a Field Practice Area Consultant, you will engage with customers in law firms and law schools to foster preferences and active usage. Your responsibilities include assessing customer needs, developing firm-specific and school-specific business plans, educating customers, and partnering internally to maximize contract renewals by ensuring customer value from our products.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize consultative sales techniques to increase active users and preference among law firms and law schools
  • Communicate credibly with clients to understand challenges and offer innovative business solutions
  • Listen to customer needs and respond with tailored product solutions to improve their work-life balance
  • Develop strategic account plans, identify sales opportunities, and analyze competitive threats
  • Collaborate with law firm client managers to overcome challenges and close significant opportunities
  • Deliver customer presentations that highlight our value proposition and differentiators
  • Implement marketing strategies to position LexisNexis as a premier legal information provider
  • Hire and manage hourly student workers to support law school initiatives

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree; membership in the Bar preferred
  • Legal practice, training, or sales experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in developing account plans and coordinating stakeholders
  • Strong networking skills, professionalism, and technical knowledge
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Capability to work independently and manage a territory
  • Teamwork skills to achieve shared goals

Salary

Base salary of $80,000 plus commission
