Job overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable individual to join our team as a Mail and Payment Processing Associate. This vital role is responsible for handling all incoming mail, including patient, insurance and client payments. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable and comfortable working with sensitive information in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Open and sort all incoming mail daily
• Identify and separate payments from patients, insurance companies and clients
• Scan and digitally file mail into designated shared drives, categorizing appropriately by payment type
• Prepare and organize checks for bank deposit in a timely manner
• Coordinate with internal departments by forwarding relevant documents or sending notification emails to appropriate staff
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all financial and personal information
• Ensure accurate records are kept for tracking and auditing purposes
• Perform other related administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience in administrative support, accounts receivable or payment processing preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong computer proficiency, including document scanning and email communication
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information with discretion
