We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for a specialty clinic in Medford. The position is 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday, from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m ., depending on the clinic's workload. Medical Assistant experience is required, but certification is not necessary. Scribe experience is a plus, but excellent data entry and typing skills are a must. Patient Preparation: Greeting patients, taking initial patient histories, and preparing them for examinations. Scribe: Meticulously record details of patient visits in real-time, including the doctor's findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and other relevant information. Assisting with Procedures: Preparing instruments, assisting with biopsies, excisions, and other procedures. Medication Administration: Administering injections and assisting with medication management as directed by the physician. Specimen Handling: Collecting and labeling skin samples for lab analysis. Wound Care: Assisting with wound care, suture removal, and dressing changes. Administrative Duties: Scheduling Appointments: Managing the schedule and scheduling patient appointments. Maintaining Records: Updating patient charts, managing electronic medical records (EMR), and handling correspondence. Insurance and Billing: Processing insurance claims and handling billing-related tasks, some coding. Answering Phones and Communication: Addressing patient inquiries, handling phone calls, and relaying information to patients and the physician. Other Responsibilities: Patient Education: Providing patients with information on treatment plans and medication use. Maintaining a Clean and Organized Environment: Ensuring the exam rooms and equipment are clean and ready for patient care. Required Skills: Clinical Skills: Proficiency in taking vital signs, administering medications, assisting with procedures, and wound care. Administrative Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact with patients, doctors, and other staff members. Problem-solving and analytical skills: Being able to assess situations and find solutions. Empathy and Compassion: Being able to understand and respond to patient needs.
