Position Summary  

The MOT Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient setup, maintenance, and removal of traffic control devices on paving projects. This role supervises all MOT team members, ensures compliance with safety standards, and maintains traffic control setups throughout the duration of each project.

Responsibilities:  

  • Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do. 
  • Supervise and ensure a safe work environment in compliance with Middlesex Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Lead daily huddles, weekly Toolbox Talks, and other safety meetings.
  • Identify potential hazards and take corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment for all team members.
  • Direct and oversee MOT crews, ensuring traffic control setups are properly installed, maintained, and removed.
  • Coordinate work schedules, including day and night shifts, with flexibility for extended hours as required.
  • Ensure compliance with FDOT and MUTCD standards in all traffic control operations.

Qualifications:  

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a MOT Supervisor or Foreman.
  • Advanced MOT certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of FDOT and MUTCD traffic control standards.
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively with team members.
