PARAPROFESSIONAL – Bridgewater, NJ

Horizon Staffing Resources is seeking multiple qualified paraprofessionals in Bridgewater, NJ for on-going coverage for the current 2025-2026 school year. Paraprofessionals will assist classroom teachers in providing extra support to students with special needs, while promoting maximum academic and personal growth. The job responsibilities range from supplementing regular classroom curriculum to helping individual students, as well as assisting in behavior management.

Hours/Schedule

• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Hours: 8:25am to 2:25pm

Responsibilities

• Redirecting students on classroom tasks as needed
• Assist in behavior management
• Provide instructional reinforcement for students
• Attend to students’ physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs
• Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans
• Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials
• Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class as needed
• Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and/or school administration

Requirements

• Previous experience with childcare preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to understand child’s needs
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must have or be willing to get fingerprinted by the Board of Education.
