Locums | NP/PA – Critical Care (Cardiac ICU) | No Call | Hershey, PA Why This Role

• Work in a high-acuity, academic Level I trauma center
• Manage advanced cardiac ICU patients with ECMO, LVAD, Impella, and transplant cases
• Join a collaborative team under intensivist supervision
Assignment Details
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: March 31, 2026
• Coverage Type: No Call
• Schedule:
- Three 13-hour shifts per week (7:00am–8:00pm or 7:00pm–8:00am) - Includes nights, weekends, and holidays
• Setting: Inpatient – HVI Critical Care Unit
• EMR: Cerner
• Privileges: Required (no IMLC accepted)
• Estimated Credentialing: 60–90 days
• Patient Volumes: 8–12 per shift
• Beds in Department: 30
• Trauma Level: I
• Support Staff: 2 APPs
Requirements
• Board Certified NP or PA in Critical Care/Intensivist specialty
• Active Pennsylvania license (IMLC not accepted)
• ACLS, BLS
• Minimum 2 years’ critical care cardiac ICU experience
• Expertise managing VA/VV ECMO, Impella, LVAD, and cardiac transplant patients
• Clean background for privileging
Clinical Details
• Daily rounding, admissions, patient management, order entry, post-op care
• Procedures:
- Arterial lines - Central lines - Swan-Ganz catheter - IABP removal - Advanced cardiac device management: ECMO (VA/VV), Impella, LVAD
• Intensivist-guided ICU practice
Compensation
• Rates: Facility is accepting bids
• Malpractice: Provided
• Travel: Reimbursed
