Pile Driving Crane Operator – Port Allen
Full Time | $28+/hr (DOE) + Per diem if traveling.
Day & Night Shifts Available | Hours Vary

A major road and bridge construction contractor in the Baton Rouge/Port Allen area is seeking an experienced Pile Driving Crane Operator for a long-term bridge project. This position offers steady hours, competitive pay, and the opportunity to work with a well-established heavy civil construction team. Resume and in-person interview required.

Position Overview

The Pile Driving Crane Operator will be responsible for operating pile driving equipment to install deep foundation piles for bridge and highway structures. This role requires precision, attention to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced heavy civil environment. Operators must be comfortable working around cranes, leads, hammers, and ground crews during active piling operations.

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience as a Pile Driving Crane Operator – required
• Strong background in heavy equipment operation (cranes, pile rigs, etc.)
• Heavy highway or bridge construction experience – required
• Ability to set up and operate pile driving leads, hammers, slings, and rigging
• Experience working around ground crews and assisting with pile alignment
• Material handling experience , including loading/unloading piles
• Able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs
• Must have steel-toe boots, safety vest, and hard hat
• Ability to work days or nights , depending on project needs
• Must follow all site safety requirements and communicate effectively with the crew
• NCCCO Certification - Required.
