As a Security Officer - Government Patrol in Denver, CO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure and welcoming environment within a government-focused location in downtown Denver. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. This position may require you to ride a bike as part of your patrol duties, allowing you to cover more ground and interact with the community. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits as required by site-specific policies.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to the public.
  • Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner as directed by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to ride a bike as part of job duties.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
