Together, they create and implement strategies to foster a culture that reflects PG&E’s values and behaviors, promote a transparent process and environment where appropriate conduct is expected, and partner with Functional Areas to address unethical behavior and close gaps in policies or procedures. Position Summary The Senior EEO Investigator reviews complaints, designs and conducts investigations into alleged misconduct, and communicates results. The role supports employee confidence in a Speak Up culture by acting as a neutral fact‑finder. Investigations cover allegations such as discrimination, harassment, retaliation, fraud, conflicts of interest and other violations of the Code of Conduct. Pay Range Bay Area – $102,000 to $145,200 annually Job Responsibilities Conducting intake, analyzing allegations, developing an investigation plan, conducting the investigation, completing a written report, and communicating an appropriate summary of the outcomes to relevant parties. Interviewing complainants, witnesses, and subject(s); maintaining accurate intake and interview notes; documenting all investigation actions in the company’s electronic case‑management system. Collaborating with Compliance, Ethics, HR Business Partners, Law, Labor Relations, Corporate Security, and other stakeholders across the enterprise. Researching, interpreting, and applying investigation procedures, internal policies, and local, state, and federal equal‑employment‑opportunity laws. Coaching and providing guidance to business leaders on investigation procedures, internal policies, and risk‑management strategies. Coaching and mentoring other investigators. Participating in additional assignments such as developing training, policies, procedures, or special projects as needed. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Law, Journalism, Psychology, Public Policy or related field (or equivalent experience). 5 years of progressive experience in employee relations, human resources, or related work. 3 years of relevant employee or fraud investigations (or equivalent experience). Desired Qualifications Advanced degree in Business, Law, Communications or related field (or equivalent experience). HR Professional certification (e.g., SHRM‑CSP). Experience working in employment law (e.g., paralegal, attorney, licensed private investigator). Working knowledge of HR policies and local, state, and federal employment laws (e.g., DOL, EEOC, Title IX, FMLA/CFRA, ADA). Proficiency with MS Office and ability to learn case‑management database systems. Strong analytical skills to interpret and dissect complex issues. Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with other departments. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to listen well, demonstrating sensitivity to all parties. Excellent written and oral communication skills for clear, concise reports and stakeholder briefings. High degree of ethical conduct and ability to interact with a culturally diverse workforce.
