*Position Summary*
We are seeking a *Senior Litigation Associate Attorney* with at least 5 years of experience handling complex trust and estate litigation matters.
This role is ideal for an experienced litigator who can independently manage cases, mentor junior team members, and play an active role in shaping the future of the firms litigation division.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Manage a caseload of trust, estate, and fiduciary disputes from intake to resolution.
* Draft and argue motions, petitions, and discovery in California state courts.
* Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
* Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals.
* Collaborate with the Managing Partner on case strategy and client development.
* Contribute to process improvement and firm growth initiatives.
*Qualifications*
*Required:*
* Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
* Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
* Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience (trust, probate, or civil).
* Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and communicate effectively with clients.
* Excellent written, oral, and analytical skills.
*Preferred:*
* Experience handling trust and estate trials or contested probate petitions.
* Established referral relationships or business development experience.
* Leadership mindset with interest in eventual Practice Group or Partner track.
*Compensation and Benefits*
* Base Salary: $190,000 $240,000 (commensurate with experience).
* Performance Bonus: Up to 20% of base salary based on measurable metrics:
* 70% Collections (net revenue billed and collected)
* 20% Originations (new client revenue generated)
* 10% Team Engagement and Leadership (mentoring, collaboration, reliability)
* Total earning potential: $228,000 $288,000 per year.
