This role involves joining our Managed Services practice as a Senior Specialist, MAST Application Penetration Tester . Responsibilities: Conduct manual application penetration testing against APIs (REST/SOAP), Web Applications, Mobile applications, and thick client applications. Perform objectives based on abstract penetration testing engagements. Execute threat modeling, evaluate application business logic, and review application architecture. Demonstrate application testing experience through demos to internal and external audiences. Function independently in penetration testing engagements with minimal oversight. Act with integrity, professionalism, and responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful work environment. Qualifications: Minimum three years of recent experience in application penetration testing of APIs, web, or mobile applications. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience. Ability to communicate testing results effectively to technical and non-technical audiences and lead remediation discussions. Experience with tools like Burp Suite Pro, Netsparker, and Checkmarx. Ethical hacking certifications (e.g., GWAPT, CREST, OSWE, OSWA) are preferred but not required. Ability to travel as needed. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future; no visa sponsorship available.
