Social Media Intern – TikTok & Content Creation

Location: Hermosa Beach, California

Department: Marketing / Social Media

Reports To: Social Media Manager

Type: Internship (Part-Time, Paid, $17.50 per hour)

We’re searching for a creative and trend-savvy Social Media Intern with a special focus on TikTok. This role is all about helping us grow our presence through original content, collaborations with creators, and fresh storytelling. If you live on TikTok, know the trends before they hit the mainstream, and love experimenting with short-form video, this is the role for you.

• Lead Hammitt’s TikTok channel and efforts, creating, filming and editing TikTok content that is authentic, on-trend, and brand-aligned

• Act as a brand ambassador and represent Hammitt to Tik Tok audiences, fostering a positive image for the brand.

• Research TikTok trends, sounds, and cultural moments to keep our content relevant and engaging.

• Brainstorm and pitch new creative ideas for TikTok series, challenges, or viral concepts.

• Assist in identifying, reaching out to, and coordinating with TikTok creators/influencers.

• Capture behind-the-scenes and day-in-the-life content to showcase our brand personality.

• Monitor TikTok analytics and report on what’s performing, testing, and iterating to drive growth.

• Support other social media channels (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, etc.) with repurposed or original video content, as well as other projects as needed.

• Current student in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field.

• Deep knowledge of TikTok culture, creators, trends, and storytelling styles.

• Comfortable being on camera and/or behind the camera.

• Strong short-form video editing skills (CapCut, InShot, Adobe Premiere Rush, or similar).

• Creative thinker with a strong sense of humor and timing.

• All candidates must submit a portfolio and/or or 2-3 sample videos.

• Bonus: Experience with influencer outreach, social media analytics, or content production.

• Hands-on experience running TikTok for a brand.
