Job Description

This opportunity is for two full-time Special Education Teacher positions serving K-12 students in a public school setting in Oklahoma. The roles are contract positions for the 2025-2026 school year, running from August 1, 2025, through May 15, 2026. Both positions require onsite work and involve working with diverse student caseloads in both secondary and elementary settings.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing a secondary caseload of 15-20 students in high school, providing instruction through co-teaching and resource room models
• Managing an elementary caseload of approximately 40 students, including teaching resource room classes focused on Math and English Language Arts for one period each
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's unique needs
• Collaborating with general education teachers to support inclusive classroom environments
• Tracking student progress and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with special education regulations
• Participating in team meetings and professional development activities as required

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification appropriate for K-12
• Experience working with students in both elementary and secondary special education settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and individualized instruction strategies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for co-teaching and working with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to manage multiple caseloads while maintaining attention to detail and organization
