About the Job:

We are currently looking to hire a Senior Manager, Transportation !

The Senior Transportation Manager is responsible for driving transport dynamics towards high service and cost-efficient deliveries. This position will interface with internal teams (planning, procurement, warehousing, and customer experience), carrier partners and managed transportation partner, Uber Freight.

The role can be hybrid or remote with a preference to be based in Broomfield, CO.

This role may be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Manage transportation relationships with carriers for inbound and outbound deliveries.
• Contribute to design of transportation network during co-man and warehouse optimization work.
• Responsible for transportation performance KPIs (OTIF, spend, etc.).
• Effectively evaluate lane needs for additional capacity and respond to needs by evaluating current carriers or adding new carriers.
• Partner with Procurement SRM to review and negotiate rates as needed.
• Actively build, and maintain, positive carrier relationships & performance reviews.
• Be a liaison for transportation to the rest of the supply chain.
• Improve overall supply chain performance through effective cross functional collaboration.
• Manage transportation team to deliver cost savings initiatives and optimization opportunities
• Contribute to Uber Freight relationship and liaise with UF team to properly manage Horizon’s transportation network and utilization goals
• Other responsibilities related to transportation as assigned

The base compensation range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 commensurate with experience.

About You:

Education and Experience:

• 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years’ experience in Transportation / Supply Chain functions
• Management/Supervisor experience
• Experience with TMS, preferably Uber Freight, in a managed services model

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrated expertise in financial and strategic analysis and planning.
• Ability to work with internal and external teams to improve performance
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and non-verbal.
• Fluency with spreadsheets, transportation management systems and database software and/or business systems.
• Advanced Excel Skills, experience with SAP, Power BI and other business automation tools
