Compensation and Schedule: Salary: $48,000-$58,000 per year, with competitive wages, annual raises , and bonuses . Hours: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts most of the year. Opportunity for over-time. Many Staff Accountants choose to work 45-55 hours/week during tax season, maintaining a unique work-life balance for the accounting industry while earning overtime and/or extra paid time off. Role Overview: As a Staff Accountant , you will: Process payroll for business clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Initiate payroll tax payments and payroll returns. Handle complex bookkeeping tasks, including reconciliations and journal entries. Prepare business and individual income tax returns. Qualifications: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Prior accounting/bookkeeping experience or an associate degree in accounting is required. Public accounting experience is preferred.
