PRN LVN – Substitute School Nurse Location: Amarillo, TX and surrounding areas Schedule: PRN | Flexible Assignments (Daily, Short-Term, or Long-Term) Pay Rate: $25–$35 per hour (based on experience and assignment) We are seeking compassionate, dependable Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to serve as PRN Substitute School Nurses. This role offers exceptional flexibility, allowing you to accept daily, short-term, or long-term school-based assignments that fit your availability. If you enjoy working with children, value predictable daytime hours, and want clinical variety without bedside burnout, this role is an excellent fit. What You’ll Do

• Provide nursing care to students during the school day in accordance with district policies and physician orders
• Assess and manage acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and administrators as appropriate
• Promote a safe, healthy learning environment for students

Qualifications

• Current Texas LVN license in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, home health, or clinic settings preferred (not required)
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to different school environments
• Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential
