Responsibilities

• Complete experimental flight tests in a hybrid electric aircraft, including first flights, envelope expansion, and more.
• Coordinate with flight operations to schedule both ground tests and flight tests.
• Create and review test cards.
• Assess aircraft and flight readiness.
• Prepare post-flight reports for operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.
• Engage in safety assessments
• Liaise with FAA representatives, such as DARs.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of experience as an Experimental Test Pilot.
• Commercial pilot license with multi-engine rating and high performance and complex endorsements.
• FAA Class II Medical (active).
• 1,000+ PIC total flight hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized Test Pilot School.
• Experience flight testing small reciprocating experimental aircraft preferred.
• Experience flight testing electric propulsion aircrafts.
• 8+ years of experience as an Experimental Test Pilot.
• 5,000+ PIC total flight hours.
