Job Title: Registered Nurse – ICU

Location: 2900 1st Ave, Huntington, WV 25702

Contract Group: Marshall Health Network MSP

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Local Radius Rule: Locals within 50 miles not accepted

Travelers Only: Local candidates not accepted

On-Call: Not required

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Compensation for 36 hours: $2,295 Per Week

• Weekly Gross: $2,295.00 Per Week
• On W2(Taxable): $720.00 Per Week ($20/hour)
• Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,575.00 Per Week

Saint Marys Medical Center is a leading healthcare provider in Huntington, West Virginia. With 393 beds, it stands as the second-largest medical facility in the tri-state area of West Virginia, Ohio, and Kentucky. Known for its commitment to patient care and clinical excellence, the hospital offers a wide range of specialty services including critical care, surgical services, and emergency medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU and overflow units.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, including hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management.
• Respond rapidly and effectively to changes in patient condition, initiating emergency interventions when necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, RTs, and support staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Assist in PACU recovery when needed, ensuring safe post-anesthesia care and monitoring.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience required.
• Must complete ICU and PACU skills assessments prior to submission.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (AHA preferred).
• Experience in ICU overflow units and critical decision-making.
• Proficient in managing ventilators, drips, and post-op care protocols.

Additional Details:

• Charting System: Not specified (must be adaptable to EMR systems)
• Patient Ratios, Daily Census, Equipment, and Diagnoses: Not detailed; must be flexible to handle typical ICU patient loads
• Observed Holidays: New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required

Must complete ICU and PACU skills assessments prior to submission.
