PACU Post Anesthesia Care Unit RN

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role is essential in providing post-operative care for adult patients in a high volume and acuity setting within a level 1 trauma center.

Position Details

• Schedule: 36 hours per week, rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights), including holidays and weekends. On-call and call-back may be required.


• Location: City, State

Key Responsibilities

• Recover post-operative adult patients in a fast-paced nursing environment.


• Collaborate effectively as part of a healthcare team.


• Demonstrate high standards of communication and positivity in patient care.


• Work independently and manage multiple cases with varying levels of acuity.

Qualifications

• Licensure: RN License (New York only)


• Experience: A minimum of 2 years nursing experience required; PACU experience required, ICU experience preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience in ICU settings highly desirable.


• Strong communication skills and ability to manage complex patient needs.
