\n Duties:\tJob Description:\n-The Procedural Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the practice of nursing.\n-Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing.\nEssential Functions:\n- Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area of practice.\n-Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.\n-Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate.\n-Provides health and wellness education to individuals and groups.\n-Acts as preceptor and supports the development of other staff and healthcare students.\n-Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes.\n\nDepartment Specific Job Functions:\n-Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate.\n-Provides health and wellness education to individuals and groups.\n-Acts as preceptor and supports the development of other staff and healthcare students.\n-Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes.\n-Assists Nursing Supervisor/Coordinator in the development of departmental standing orders.\nSkills:\tRequired Skills & Experience:\n-Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience.\n-Passion for Oncology.\n-Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.\n-Basic computer knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser.\n-Multicultural sensitivity.\n-Critical thinking skills using independent judgement in making decisions.\n-Maintain confidential information.\n-Ability to communicate only the facts to recipients or to decline to reveal information.\n-Ability to project a professional, friendly, helpful demeanor.\n\nPreferred Skills & Experience:\n- N/A\nEducation:\tRequired Education:\n-ASN\n\nPreferred Education:\n-BSN\n\nRequired Certifications & Licensure:\n-Illinois state RN License in good standing\n-BLS (American Heart Assoc.)\n-Chemo/Biotherapy cert\n\nPreferred Certifications & Licensure:\n- N/A\nLanguages:\t\nEnglish\t Read\t Write\t Speak\nCertifications & Licenses:\t\nBLS - AHA\nONS Chemo/Biotherapy Certificate
